!Böcekto cannot confirm that a device is hidden or recording unlawfully. Results are explainable estimates based only on reachable network signals.

  • ✓The planned mobile app examines reachable devices on your current local network only when you start a scan.
  • ✓It does not open camera video or audio, try passwords or exploit vulnerabilities.
  • ✓The first release is designed to assess signals on your device and keep results off application servers by default.
  • ✓bocekto.com has no account, advertising tracker or scan upload; standard server logs may be created for security.

1. Scope and responsible party

This policy describes the Böcekto mobile app and bocekto.com. Böcekto’s legal operator details will be published here and in the relevant app-store listing once incorporation and distribution arrangements are complete.

For privacy questions, requests or security reports, contact privacy@bocekto.com.

2. Information processed on the local network

When you start a scan, the app temporarily processes technical device signals that are reachable on the same local network.

  • Local IP addresses, the gateway and a device-published name or hostname
  • Advertised services, ports and standard discovery responses such as ONVIF, RTSP, mDNS/DNS-SD or SSDP
  • Vendor or model hints published by the device itself
  • Scan progress, errors and the explainable camera-signal assessment
  • Connection details such as the Wi-Fi network name only when genuinely required by a platform API and permitted by you

3. Content we do not access

Böcekto’s network discovery is a limited check initiated by the user.

  • It does not open or record camera images, video or audio streams.
  • It does not try usernames or passwords or sign in to device administration panels.
  • It does not exploit vulnerabilities or change device settings.
  • It does not passively monitor traffic exchanged between other devices on the network or inspect personal message or file content.
  • It does not claim to determine a device’s physical location or owner.

4. Why this information is processed

Local-network data is used to list reachable devices, evaluate camera-related technical signals together, explain the reasons behind a result and describe a safer next step.

Scanning is designed to run only while the app is in the foreground and after a user command. It is not intended to bypass a denied permission with hidden or background scanning.

5. Storage, transfer and sharing

In the planned first mobile release, scanning and assessment run on the phone. Scan results are not intended to be sent to an account history, advertising profile or cloud backup. They are not transferred to application servers unless you deliberately use a sharing feature.

Results are planned to remain only for the current app session and to be removed by a new scan, a clear command or the end of the session. If analytics, crash reporting, support forms or another third-party SDK are added, this policy and store declarations will be updated before release.

Devices on the same network may technically observe discovery packets. That is a normal property of local-network discovery and does not mean Böcekto sends a personal profile to them.

6. The bocekto.com website

bocekto.com provides product information and an interactive sample flow; it does not perform a real local-network scan in your browser. The site currently has no account, advertising cookie, marketing form or third-party analytics tool.

The web server and network-security layer may process standard access logs such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser information and response status to deliver the service, prevent abuse and diagnose problems. Access logs use size-based rotation and are limited to three 10 MB files per running service; they are not sold or used for advertising targeting.

7. System permissions

iOS presents a Local Network permission before communicating with local devices. Apple may also require additional technical declarations for Bonjour services and multicast discovery. Android requirements vary by operating-system and target-SDK version; relevant local-network or nearby Wi-Fi access is requested only for scanning.

If you deny permission, scanning will not work, but you can still use informational and privacy areas. You can revoke permission later in system settings.

8. Your choices and rights

You control whether to start a scan, stop it, clear the result and revoke system permission. If you believe Böcekto holds personal information about you, contact us to request access, correction, deletion, objection or other rights available where you live.

Available rights and response times depend on your country and Böcekto’s legal structure at launch. Before store release, KVKK, GDPR and target-market requirements will be reviewed against the verified data flow.

9. Security and children

Incoming network data is treated as untrusted. Requests are intended to be short-lived, limited and based on standard discovery methods. Links advertised by devices are not opened automatically.

Böcekto is not designed for children and does not knowingly collect child accounts or child-related scan profiles. Age rating and any additional protections will be determined for each target market before store release.

10. Responsible use and technical limits

Scan only networks you are authorized to connect to and use. Cameras that are offline, on another VLAN or SSID, behind client isolation, using cellular connectivity or not advertising services may not appear. ONVIF or RTSP signals may also come from a legitimate security camera or another media device.

Do not treat a suspicious result as definitive proof or an accusation. If you feel unsafe, do not tamper with a device or confront anyone. Consider moving to a safe place and contacting the booking platform, property management or appropriate local authorities.

11. Changes and contact

If the data flow, third-party SDKs or legal responsibilities change materially, this page and its update date will be revised. Where required, the app will provide an additional notice or request consent.

Contact privacy@bocekto.com with questions. The mailbox and legal operator details are intended to be verified before the app-store submission.
